REGISTRATION Q & A

May. 15, 2020

From Chilliwack Minor Hockey:

As returning player registration opened today, some questions that many of you have are answered below. Also note the following survey that has been sent out by BC Hockey in partial response to the ongoing pandemic we are all experiencing. You are not obligated to take this, but it will help BC Hockey determine certain strategies in moving forward once hockey does resume.

Q & A IN REGARDS TO RETURNING PLAYER REGISTRATION FOR THE 2020-21 HOCKEY SEASON

HOW DO I REGISTER?

On the website, click on REGISTRATION and then as a returning player, click on the upper right option and MEMBERSHIP LOGIN.  You should have an account as you registered last season the same way. This takes you to your own registration page, and from the PARTICIPANT tab, follow the menus and proceed to register.

ARE THERE PAYMENT OPTIONS?

When you register on the website and through RAMP, there are numerous payment options. We are requiring a minimum $150 down with the remaining fees divided in installments over the next 6 months.

WHAT IF THERE IS NO HOCKEY NEXT SEASON, OR I CHANGE MY MIND AND DECIDE FOR MY CHILD NOT TO PLAY HOCKEY IN 2020-21?

There is no change in the refund policy. If there is no hockey next season, you will receive a 100% refund. If hockey does start late, fees will be prorated. We will honour all current policies for all refunds.

WHEN WILL HOCKEY START?

When Hockey Canada states we can start. There will be constant meetings to update local minor hockey associations as we get closer to our usual start datesWe will let you know when we receive the information from Hockey Canada on when the start date will be.

WHAT ABOUT REP?

Rep is still scheduled for late August but that may very well change. We will let you know once we receive information from Hockey Canada.

WHAT IF I WAIT INTO THE SUMMER AND THEN GET WAIT LISTED AS THERE IS NOT ROOM ON A TEAM?

Every player who registers after May 31 will be placed onto the wait list as per usual. This does not mean you will not have a team to play on, this only means that if registration numbers are high your spot is not 100% guaranteed.

CAN I STILL APPLY FOR FUNDING?

Please look on our website for the tab that says FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE under REGISTRATION. Many of the organizations are doing their best to provide what they can but please contact all financial options for any assistance. When you have applied for all of the options and provide us the records of doing so you can then apply for the CMHA Hockey Fund.

WHAT IF I STILL HAVE QUESTIONS?

Please email the CMHA office for any other questions you may have.  info@chilliwackminorhockey.com
